Humorology Atlanta, HA! presents:

Healthcare Clowning: a look at the past 20 years and what the future holds

with support from the Center for Puppetry Arts' Explore Puppetry Series

French-Canadian clown master Olivier-Hugues Terreault discusses how Healthcare Clowning has made a global explosion over the past 20 years. What is this phenomenon of Healthcare Clowning and how is it helping sick children and memory-impaired seniors?

Please join us for this fascinating talk including remarkable stories from Olivier’s first hand experiences.

Olivier-Hugues Terreault is a French-Canadian clown living in Brazil. He is Co-founder of the Dr. Clown Foundation (Montreal) and Teatro do Sopro (Rio de Janeiro). For more than 20 years Healthcare Clowning has been Olivier’s primary passion. He is dedicated to observing, researching, sharing, training, writing and inspiring Healthcare Clown organizations around the world. He continually questions the nature and social function of the clown in the 21st century, and believes in deepening the language of the relational clown, especially with elderly people living with dementia.
